The railway company VIA Rail Canada connects more than 450 cities. If you come from the United States, climb aboard Amtrak trains, which offers daily departures from several U.S. cities to downtown Montreal. Located just 20 minutes from downtown, Montréal-Trudeau International Airport hosts forty of the world’s international airlines and receives direct flights from more than 130 regular and seasonal destinations in Canada, the United States and overseas.

If you plan to travel by car, Montreal is accessible by road to those coming from elsewhere in Canada and the United States. Indeed, the island of Montreal is only 75 km from the U.S. border, and many roads and highways connect to the city, including the Trans-Canadian highway.
